Bigotry and Elitism are Compensations for Incompetence
All corruption is concealed behind an image of the opposite. The more extreme the corruption, the more extreme the image for concealing it. When there is an extreme divergence between the image and the corruption, the phoniness is quite apparent. It seems strange that anyone would state shameless lies and do the opposite. But it seems to work. It works, because it is how power is mongered. To join the in crowd, you look at the lies instead of the reality. Elitism is an attempt to contrive an image of worth which is the opposite of the incompetence which determines results. An image of superiority is how incompetence is concealed. There are many mechanisms for creating an image of superiority. One is to flash around a lot of wealth. Why would a person be wealthy, if he weren't superior? But a lot of persons who aren't wealthy are elitists. What do they do? They have clubs, credentials and licenses which create superiority. If not, they mimic other elitists and pretend that they are part of the same strata. Mimicry is a major element of elitism. To look like the rest of the elitists is all it takes to be an elitist. In fact, associating with the right persons is the most important rule of elitism. This goes beyond imagery; it is mongering power by attaching to persons with power and separating from persons without power. Elitists are known for meticulously following all of the rules of elitism. This allows everyone to easily be categorized as elite or nonelite based upon their obsession for the rules of elitism. It's important to realize that competent persons have no need to create a fake image. Therefore competent persons are never elitists. Competent persons also understand the decadence of such vices and consciously avoid them. In fact, it is abstract understanding that determines the difference between competence and incompetence. Persons who lack enough abstract understanding to function in a competent manner are also incapable of understanding the degenerate nature of elitism. But this technical description misses the ability of elitists to impress. The most successful elitists have an ability to impress. The ability to impress replaces the ability to function competently. The difference between the ability to impress and to function competently needs to be understood, before elitism can be properly grasped. Otherwise, the ability to impress is mistaken for real competence. Therefore, it is necessary to separate the difference between ability to impress and actual competence. Notice the image. An elitist will forever be pretending to do something, while there is never a real result. But even this test becomes illusive, when the ability to impress is the product being sold. In the entire entertainment industry, the ability to impress is almost as good as competence, though there will be both types of persons in that area: elitists and competent persons. The information industry is somewhat similar. The ability to impress will be almost as successful as real competence, simply because the public is too often satisfied with being impressed instead of being informed. Bigotry is the enforcement of elitism. It is the subconscious assumption that power is virtue and powerlessness is corruption. Elitists separate themselves from powerless persons and try to prevent them from competing with them. This hostile relationship to powerless persons is the essence of bigotry. The reason why bigotry and elitism are not valid attitudes, like minding one's own business, is because they are driven by a force which is acted upon. It's the same driving force for all corruption. The force is a need to prevail against other persons. It isn't possible to live and let live, because that force stems from a conflict with the external world. The nature of the conflict is that corrupters want more out of life than justice gives them. So they use unjust means of acquiring it. Then secondary effects develop, as victims try to oppose the injustice; and they must be defeated. The conflict orients around power, because it takes power to prevail against other persons. As a result, power becomes the positive reinforcement for the psychological conditioning of corruption. It results in stimulus-response reactions which are subconscious and not understood by the perpetrators. In fact, the corruptions seem like virtues because of the positive reinforcement of power. What it all adds up to is that corruptions, including bigotry and elitism, are spread from person to person as supposed virtues. They cannot be openly promoted without truth exposing them as corruptions. But they are taught by example, while the opposing truth is viewed as some sort of corruption. The rationalizations vary with circumstances. Conservatives view their opponents as communists. A communist isn't someone who promotes a particular form of government, but someone who tries to advance the interests of their opponents, who are always the powerless victims of their corruptions. Communism is assumed by conservatives to be the advancement of powerless persons, not a system of government. So how do liberals rationalize their elitism and war against their enemies? It's more illusive, because liberals are not as corrupt and ignorant as conservatives. Conservativism (correct spelling) is a degree of corruption. But still, there is plenty of elitism and bigotry among liberals. Liberal elitists view their enemies as cranks or crazies who are off the wall and not like the powerless persons who they bleed for in abstract terms. It's a shallower depth of corruption, where it's possible to bleed for nobodies in principle, but not when actually encountering them. One of the main reasons why corrupt persons cannot live and let live is because their victims have justice on their side, and the perpetrators do not. The most pressing problem which corrupters have is trying to turn justice around, so it is on the side of the perpetrators instead of their victims. Of course, it is a contradiction, yet corrupters are so stupid that they assume sin can be used to turn justice around and get it on their side. Of course, they don't know what justice is, they operate by feel instead of knowledge. Truth and knowledge not only define life, they end injustices, which is required to sustain life. It couldn't be otherwise, because justice is the result which truth produces. Truth Defines Life |
