Power Mongering

Power Creates Incompetence

Persons with power cannot determine what objective reality is, because power separates them from objective reality. Absence of objective reality makes them incompetent.

Two major consequences are: 1. They must rely upon other sources of reality, which makes them vulnerable to being controlled by scammers. and 2. They acquire a subconscious hate for more competent persons, which means persons who are not being corrupted by power, particularly the lower classes.

Perhaps the most significant element of corruption is separation from objective reality. This effect is too abstract to be understood by most persons. They could learn such abstractions, but corruption has an immune system with it which blocks correction, criticism or improvement, which means abstract realities are not being taught. Nihilism (willful ignorance) is how power is mongered, and a gullible public goes along with it instead of correcting it.

So the challenge here is to explain how power separates a person from objective reality. Power is control. The only thing that can be done with power is manipulate people, which is subjective. Subjective means non-objective.

Power (and all corruption) gets rationalized. If objective is good, then supposedly power is objective. But it is not. Objectivity requires rationality including truth and reason. It is a lot of work, and it involves contact with reality. It also includes accountability.

Contact with and handling reality diminishes power by requiring a lot of demanding effort directed toward something universal which benefits everyone equally. Applying rationality to producing truth and knowledge and solving problems benefits everyone.

Acquiring and using power is also very demanding and is directed toward self at the expense of others. There is no constructive way to dominate and control people. Two people cannot walk in the same pair of pants, even with the best of intentions. And the person doing the controlling doesn’t know or care about 99% of the concerns of the persons being controlled.

Personal and subjective power can only be used through domination. Domination requires degradation and exploitation, which generates selfishness, bigotry, elitism, nihilism and every corruption in existence. It’s highly observable. The power mongers concern themselves with nothing other than the subjectivity of who is doing what to whom and how and why. They have no concern for the objective reality of the causes and solutions to problems.

Fraud is how power mongers separate themselves from objective reality. There is a pretense of objectivity to fraud, but it is only a tool for rationalizing; there is no real concern for credibility. The bliss of power allows corruption to be imposed with no concern for credibility.
