Advice on Moral Improvement
Since I'm an expert on moral philosophy, having derived the basics of the subject and reinvented the wheel which Christ produced, I decided to give other persons advice on the subject. Here's the general advice which everyone needs to consider:
First, don't make the mistake which Martin Luther and the Catholic priests made and assume that you should be able to purify yourself; and then find that it is impossible and decide that works do not save, only faith does. Instead, go about it the way Christ said. Produce truth and social justice as the morality-improving influence. It is the moral fix for both self and others. In doing this, don't turn to organized activities, because they are not that constructive in a world which satan owns and operates. In fact, there is a corruptive influence in the power of organizations. Instead, find an injustice against the most vulnerable and powerless persons; learn all you can about it; and then produce truth on that subject. It is truth more than material assistance that victims of injustice need most. Only truth feeds the hungry. Christ's way of saying it is that "It is not on bread alone that man lives but on every word of God" (Mat 4:4). Truth does not have the restrictions of material results; but it is a martyr's path. Satan and the corrupters fight their primary war against truth. Christ was crucified for producing moral truth. But you can go down that path however far you think is practical for you. There is no other "path to life" (Mat 7:14). When you determine what truth to produce, start communicating it to other persons. Send letters to Congressmen. Send email messages to persons involved with related subjects. Inform persons who you know. Then don't measure the results in terms of whether material improvements are made but in terms of clarifying morality for self and others and stopping some of the social sin with truth. Only truth ends sin. Theory I'll describe the theory and principles here. When solving problems, all elements of constructivity are required. Morality is nothing more than that. This includes proper relationships between persons. As a result, any corruptions within oneself disappear, and corruptions of other persons become exposed. Of course, opposition will result, but it does clarify moral truth. To define and correct morality properly, it is important that the problems and solutions are the right ones, so the results, motives and methods do not include corruptions. This is why Christ framed the task within the realm of poverty. On judgment day, the saved are those who fed the hungry, clothed the naked, etc. (Mat 25:31-46). Christ was not saying that poverty was a prefered state for perpetual existence but that it was a path for overcoming sin. Personalize morality (the Ten Commandments) are the end result of self-improvement, not the means of getting there. You can't focus upon yourself and make moral improvement, because the morally corruptive force is in attitudes about other persons. Therefore, socialized morality is where the improving is done. In definitive or philosophical terms, the problem that needs fixing starts with the attitude of pride, which is the same as the need to dominate. Stemming out from that starting point are all other corruptive forces including selfishness, elitism, jealousy, etc. People are not aware of those forces within themselves, and the largest part of the reason is because they learn to look away from them as a denial mechanism. Breaking through the barriers of denial is possible when following the right path. The path is automatic in a state of poverty, but it should be possible without complete poverty. There are things that a person could do to increase his awareness about himself and his relationship to others. Producing social justice for victims of injustice does it. In fact, the most effective path is to do something for enemies who are victims of injustice. In part, because it is a sin to sin against the guilty, even satan. But more significantly, because corruption makes innocent people enemies. People learn to hate their victims as a defense against truth and justice. Therefore, going through the procedures of improving justice for powerless victims of injustice clarifies the moral truth and increases awareness. Awareness is everything. The forces that cause sin disappear when awareness increases. The Significance The reason why this path is needed to overcome sin is because it reverses the problem of sin. And for the same reason, corrupt persons would rather burn in hell than follow such a path. Sin is based on the subconscious desire to dominate. Stated so simply, it is almost a compliment in the view of corrupt persons. Isn't the dominant male the winner in nature? Doesn't everyone want to be a winner? The significance of sin is more visible in the consequence. Corrupt persons do not dominate by making themselves better. That would be virtue. They dominate by making other persons lesser, which means degradation. In other words, domination as a moral corruption is defined by the degradation that goes with it. Some persons want to define domination as a virtue. They say parents must dominate their kids to control them. But the word domination should not be used for that purpose, since it represents the most basic cause of sin. Other terminology can be used. Words should be used in the clearest way possible, which means giving them only the most obvious meaning and not a bunch of complex alternative meanings. Now extending from this point, corrupt persons need to do so much dominating every day, or they don't sleep at night. The easiest way to get their dominating done is to pick on the most vulnerable persons. So they literally destroy the vulnerable persons at the bottom of society as a purpose in life. This is why the focus of morality is on helping the most vulnerable persons. It's because sin is focused on the most vulnerable persons. Reversing the sin is to produce truth and justice for the most vulnerable persons. This is what Christ taught, and this is what the objective evidence indicates to be the truth. |
