The Test of Arrogance
Superficially, it appears that one person's arrogance is another person's values. Each side of an argument accuses the other of being arrogant. Since there are two over-all arguments—good and evil—there appears to be two opposite views on arrogance.
Here's the resolution of the argument. There is only one correct view on arrogance, mine of course. Correct means moral and constructive. So the moral and constructive view on arrogance is the correct one. So here's the moral and constructive view on arrogance. We start with the dictionary description of arrogance, which is approximately self-importance or pride. That analysis is, of course, darn poor, because arrogance is no synonym for pride. What a person really means by arrogance is that the other person is out of contact with reality in assuming he is right when he is wrong. Everyone supposedly thinks in other terms than the arrogant person. The choirmaster thinks the gangster is arrogant in displaying lawlessness, while the gangster things the choirmaster is arrogant in pretending to be righteous. They each have a different assumption about the norm or majority opinion. The truth of the matter is in the essence of morality. All sin is a subjective attack upon the universe, while the correction is an objective relationship to the universe. This point describes one of the over-arching differences between sin and morality. It is also one of the corrections of sin. And it is a standard for correcting sin and preventing it. A moral person uses the objective medium to correct and prevent sin. So we need to review the difference between objective and subjective. Objective means originating outside of a person's head, and subjective means originating within a person's head. All sin comes out of someone's head. For this reason, those realities which do not come out of someone's head are used as a tool for preventing sin. Objective reality is a medium of realities which surround people, just as the ocean surrounds fish. Molecular existence is the main objective medium. Morality is highly dependent upon being objective at least for the purpose of preventing sin, if not for correcting it. This is because sin cannot come out of the rocks; it has to come out of someone's head. And solving the problems of life is dependent upon the objective realities which define material life and create the solutions. So a rational and constructive person describes the objective realities of a situation without allowing his subjectivity to influence the result. By contrast, a corrupt person produces little that is not subjective and in conflict with objective reality. This is because the way things are in objective reality is not good enough for a corrupt person. He must redesign all reality to support, promote and justify his corruptions due to the fact that sin puts corrupt persons in conflict with the universe. With this background, arrogance is being subjective, and non-arrogance is being objective. The corrupt type of subjectivity puts a person in conflict with the universe. Being in conflict with the universe is a better criteria for arrogance than having a minority opinion. A majority opinion can change, and majorities can be wrong and can destroy themselves. The universe and its laws always prevail against destroyers. So using the universe as the reference is a more long-term and correct criteria for who is right, and therefore who is arrogant. Using the universe as the criterion is the same as being objective. So the correct test of arrogance is that subjectivity is arrogance, and objectivity is not. Corrupters want to reverse that truth, since they hate objectivity, but they are arrogant with that motive. Corrupters try to convince people that objectivity, and the logic applied to it, are not the highest standards; and maybe they are corruptions. Real brain-dead and corrupt persons actually assume that objectivity and logic are corruptions, because logic cannot be trusted. Corrupters always have a pseudo-logic which is a corruption, so they want everyone to assume that all logic is a corruption. What is the supposedly higher standard that corrupters promote? Corrupters do not analyze it, since openness always proves them wrong. They promote their values and standards by example, which does not require knowledge and is not exposed to analysis and truth. What corrupters promote by example and subconscious assumption is a worship of power. They are psychologically conditioned to subconsciously assume that power is virtue. Once the concept is openly stated, there is no question that it is totally perverse. Satan has more power than anyone but God, and he is a destroyer of destroyers. Power does not turn his perversions into virtue. Hitler was not a model of virtue while he controlled power. All destroyers use power to impose their corruptions onto everyone else. Of course, definitive analysis shows that sustaining life requires logical alignment upon the objective realities which create and define life. In other words, corrupters would disagree with the analysis which states that objectivity is the highest standard, but they are nothing but perverts by all logical and valid criteria.
