What Christianity Is
This evaluation will use a step by step process of deriving a proposition.
Step One: The Goal. The first step will start at the end result as the defining principle. The end result of Christianity is described by Christ as the separation of the sheep from the goats (Mat 25:31-46).
The sheep will inherit the kingdom prepared for them. The goats will not. Getting to that point is the purpose of Christianity.
Step Two: Describing the Sheep. The sheep are those who fed the hungry, clothed the naked, healed the sick and comforted the afflicted. The goats did not.
Step Three: Why it Matters. Say you worshipped God perfectly all the time as a human and claim nothing else matters. When you get to the other side, I can guarantee you, you are not going to want everyone else to ignore you. You are going to want to get involved in the same things others are doing. And the others are going to expect you to care about their problems. If you are going to create problems instead of solve them, you are not going to be a part of that group. You can do whatever you want with God, but you are not going to be a part of a group by creating problems instead of solving them.
Some idiots who assume common sense is for fools are assuming that there are no problems to solve in heaven. If sinful persons were in heaven, there would be problems to solve. Corrupt persons are trouble makers because of their jealousy and need to dominate and degrade other persons.
Step Four: The Process. The process of getting to the endpoint is meeting basic needs by feeding the hungry, etc. If you can't do that, you are a trouble maker instead of a problem solver. You can lie about it, but the lies are not going to be listened to.
Solving basic human problems shows what corruption is and replaces the corruption with constructivity. It takes the sin out of one's soul and replaces it with morality.
Lying doesn't do the same thing. Fraudulent theology doesn't do it. Until you demonstrate to yourself and everyone else that you have replaced the sin in your soul with constructivity by meeting basic human needs, you are not among the sheep.
Anyone who can't solve human problems instead of create them in the human society is not going to do anything any differently any place else.
Step Five: What it's not. Paul's theology says sin is only possible where there is flesh (Rom 7:5-9). Leaving the flesh supposedly purifies (Rom 8:2). He lied. If his theology were true, there would be no satan or demons who could sin without flesh.
Paul's lie would be irrelevant if Christ were the source of Christianity instead of Paul, because Christ said the behavior of people (past tense) in the human society determines whether they enter the kingdom of God.
If all logic is scoffed and trashed, as Paul followers expect us to do, we are still left with Christ commands. And guess what, Christ's commands have an obvious logic to them. Namely, people are not going to behave any differently after they leave the human society than they did while they were in it.
If it is called Christianity, it is supposed to consist of Christ's commands, not Paul's lies.
