Communication Requirements

The primary requirement for constructive communication is to give evidence and explanations with claims. If this is done, the truth can easily be produced.

The world assumes that exploiting and corrupting communication is necessary and virtuous in promoting it's supposedly noble motives. But the truth is, the motives are a fraud, when they have to be promoted through corrupt communication. The communication standards come first. If something requires corrupt communication, it's not constructive.

In other words, there is no excuse for anything but proper communication standards, all of the time, everywhere. No exceptions. Anything else is analogous to crime. It's sin. Sin and crime are the same things, except that governments cannot account for all sin, only that sin which is large and visible to majorities.

In the world, people convince themselves that some corruptions of communication (and sin) are needed for some purposes. It's only because too many of their purposes are sin, meaning destructive. Living by that standard is not respectable. There are always victims, or it is not sin, and it would not require concealment and corruption of communication and standards.

The justification for corrupt communication sometimes shows up in the rationalization of the ethic of producing so-called white lies. Examples of good outcomes are used to justify white lies. Lie to a criminal to stop a crime is how ethicists rationalize it. That ethic is fraud for many reasons. One is that the model system is only an ideal, while the applications are far removed from such an ideal situation, and the supposed good is far more destructive. Another reason is because the underlying logic and purpose is corrupt in attempting to justify a corruption—a form of lying.

The basic flaw in the ethic of white lies is that there is nothing good about the situation which requires the lie. Forcing someone to lie adds a second corruption on top of the first. If someone is forced to lie, call it a black lie and blame the person who creates the force. Then the ethic of lying is not being promoted.

When communication is being corrupted, a person is promoting his own motives and assuming, in a very selfish and ignorant way, that his motives are virtuous and should prevail. But if they really were virtuous, the communication standards would not need to be corrupt.

This gets to one of the most basic facts of existence. Life is defined and sustained by truth, which requires openness and accountability. Nothing other than that is acceptable. The supposed virtues of sin are a fraud.
