Creationism Contradicts Christianity

Christ described material life as having a purpose. Creationism erases the purpose.

Creationism starts with the assumption that material life has no purpose. The book of Genesis might be written in a whimsical way, as if God didn't have anything better to do one day than create the material world. That's only because Bible writers are a sarcastic bunch. You have to look at evidence, which means everything in the Bible, to determine the truth, not the attitude of some writers.

Christ described the purpose of material life as ending sin by following a path to eternal life (Mat 7:14, 21)(Luke 6:47). Creationism erases the path. Contriving the creationist story without a purpose follows the arguments of Fundamentalists who deny there is a path to Christianity.

Overcoming sin is a long process which cannot be completed in the 6-10 thousand years which creationists claim the age of the universe to be. (Creationists have to deny all astronomy and geology as well as evolution to get everything into such a short span of time.)

The process of overcoming sin involves development of souls and acquiring constructive realities, attitudes and values. Only the last stage of the process involves purification.

Souls are developed as the subconscious part of the spirit, which consists of forgotten memories. Constructive realities, attitudes and values are acquired by being in contact with the constructive realities of life.

In the spirit world, satan destroys constructive realities. For this reason, material life has to be so large and stable that it cannot be destroyed by satan. Satan tries to destroy every blade of grass and every product of human existence. But the grass grows back and the human complexities increase faster than he can destroy them.

Material life gives people a concept of what is good and what is bad, what is constructive and what is destructive. This process takes millions of years, because constructive realities, attitudes and values have to become more significant in peoples' minds than corrupt ones. This is rudimentary mind development, and it occurs in the animal world. Rabbits learn that food is everywhere, and they have a right to it. They learn that predators could strike with little warning. These experiences create the innate concepts of life being good and destructivity being bad. Even at this time, spiritual beings move back and forth between the animal world and human society, as most primitive religions recognize.

Toward the end of the process, a human society is created for the purpose of learning the truth about morality. People then consciously study the details of existence to determine what is right and what is wrong. Christ clarified the basics as a foundation for aligning the evidence upon.
