Corruption is Driven by an Internal, Subjective Force
You can spell out why one and one equals two, figuratively speaking, and be ridiculed. Why? Because a force inside corrupt minds creates a conflict with objective reality. It makes truth look like a corruption.
Corruption is like being in a fish bowl. The fish looks out through the water and glass and sees everything distorted. Truth, or objective reality, is on the other side of the water and glass.
Corruption creates a fire inside of a person when exposed to truth, because truth is invincible, being the size of the universe, while it conflicts with the realities which have been twisted by corruption. In other words, corruption causes a person to modify his realities, and then they conflict with the truth and objective realities which make up life.
Therefore, corrupt persons have to fight a war against truth and the rationality which develops truth. The first requirement is to contrive alternative realities. Every fact must be twisted to separate it from truth. Larger realities must be contrived in ways which are in conflict with truth.
The most corrupt persons are instantly recognizable by such tendencies. They must twist at every fact which they encounter to give it a different appearance than truth has. Of course, there are different degrees of corruption; and less corrupt persons accept superficial truths, while they must avoid, deny or alter more basic and substantial truths.
What then is the force that does such a destructive thing to minds? The force develops through complex interactions. A sin or injustice (same things) is perpetrated, which creates a conflict. Then truth must be denied to conceal the sin. Over time, a significant amount of sin requires a significant war against truth and justice, and more sin is required to justify earlier sin. All the while, realities in the mind are being tailored to justify and promote sin, which causes them to conflict with objective reality.
Corrupters then teach other persons to see things their way, which means a sinful and destructive way. The result is that persons who are only slightly corrupt are taught that the corruption within themselves must be the directing influence in their lives. It's too easy to teach sin by playing upon corrupt influences.
For example, people are taught that elitism, domination and nihilism are virtues. But corruption is never taught openly, because truth develops through open communication. Instead, corruption is taught by examples and intimidation.
This agenda causes people to assume that a lot of corruptions are virtues, and social standards are often misdirected accordingly. An area where this misdirection of standards is highly visible is in the communication and study of basic realities. Basic realities are those upon which others depend. This means they are very powerful truths. Society has been taught that to look into the area of basic realities is some sort of corruption which must be avoided.
The seriousness of this fraud is shown in the fact that Christ's entire purpose was to teach basic realities. He said his entire purpose in appearing in the human society was to testify to the truth (John 18:37). He used very few words, focussing on the most basic truths. But since society in general has accepted the fraud that basic truth is a corruption, Christ's words are not promoted, even within Christianity. Instead, Paul's words are used as the basis for the religion.
