Baptism, Redemption, Sacraments

There are a lot of ways of removing sin. So how come sin still exists? You have to know what sin is to know how it is removed.

If sin were nothing more than disobedience to God, what would removing it be. Atonement is described as if God were the one who changed. How often does he have to change?

The truth is that sin creates forces in minds. There are two types of forces involved. One is the subconscious cause of sin, and the other is a specific force that develops in respnose to each sin.

The subconscious cause of sin is a desire (to dominate), and attitude (pride) combined with realities and habits. It is strengthened through psychological conditioning involving repetitious response to stimuli.

The force resulting from specific sin creates a need to conceal, deny or justify the specific sin, so a return force of justice does not occur.

This later type of force or sin is removed through repentance and a number of tools such as sacraments. Any type of sacrament could do so. But there are no tools which rapidly remove the subconscious forces which cause sin.

To remove the subconscious causes of sin, behavior has to be corrected. Changing behavior requires a path that is hard to find and follow.
