Ignorance

There is a tendency to view the cleverness of evil as intelligence and even be impressed by it. It is not real intelligence. It is totally devoid of abstract understanding, and even in superficial areas, it is dissociated reality.

The demons refer to satan as "the lord of knowledge and light." Of course, they are obsessed with contrivance and propaganda; but they are so lacking in awareness that they do not know how wrong they are. Ignorance makes minds more blissful and unaware of what ignorance is. The bliss of ignorance is an extreme simplification of concepts stripping them of the complexities which include qualities and gradients of scale.

As knowledge is reduced to ignorance, it is replaced by substitutes. Most basically power replaces all complex elements of character where there is corruption. Power creates substitute abilities. Even noncorrupt persons get the bliss of power mixed up with real qualities, to some extent. What power does is extend existing characteristics infinitely over a wide expanse of realities. This looks impressive, but it is no gain in abilities.

Perception is what is primarily increased with spirit powers. Spirit cannibalism gives evil spirits pervasive perception, which means the ability to look forward and backwards in time. They then have some ability to act upon that which they perceive. The result is some control or influence over a large number of realities. Satan's schemes are like a tsunami in sweeping up all surrounding realities. Satan controls total context when perpetrating evil attempting to reverse the meaning in terms of truth and justice. But he does so with subhuman intelligence.

In place of intelligence, evil minds function on a stimulus-response basis. They have been psychologically conditioned for billions of years to respond to stimuli by producing patterns which they have repeated over and over until they become mindless reactions. These reactions can be complex enough to include cleverness.

Christ said his followers must be as innocent as doves and clever as snakes. The cleverness of evil is a set of learned patterns which produce desired results. Evil persons do not sit down and plan actions. They are machines which evolved actions which produce desired results, just as a plant evolved the ability to photosynthesize by converting the energy of sunlight into chemical nutrients. The plants to not do an analysis, and neither do evil minds.

Evil minds have no ability to judge or predict. They would metaphorically be afraid of moral persons mugging them in a dark alley, because they have no understanding of the difference between moral and immoral persons. They assume that their cowardice is a product of their superior intelligence, and the only reason why anyone else is not so cowardly is because they are not intelligent enough to determine the value of it.

Cowardice is an example of their utilitarian reactions. Cowardice seems to work so slick, because they cannot see a relationship between their sinful acts and the price that they pay later. They expect other persons to ignore all of the sin later and pretend that they are just lovy dovy friends, when the circumstances change.

A large part of what intelligence is is the ability to link everything together into a unified whole. Understanding is unified reality in the mind. In place of unified reality, evil minds have dissociated reality. This means the realities are broken up into separate pieces. The minds of evil persons move from one dissociated reality to another with no ability to make links between them. This is why they can't be told that their lovy doviness one minute doesn't jive with their sinfulness earlier.
