There is a tendency to view logic as a corruption. Logic seems like tricksterism, because someone else could produce a different logic. You see people producing a counter-logic, as if there could be any number of versions of logic and no single correct logic.

As a result, the alternative is to depend upon the reliability of the person who is the source to determine reality, and then there is no need to wade through logic. Just take whatever reality the preferred authority provides.

This is how dupes are led to the pit, because authority can never replace logic. Christ taught this. He did not put his authority above logic. He said to look and listen (Mat 13:16)(Mark 8:18) and judge for yourself what is right (Luke 12:57)(John 7:24). He did describe his teaching as "commandments" (John 15:10, 12), but he did not put them above logic but based them on logic.

So here is the truth of this subject: No one should ever be allowed to make a claim without explaining the logic or evidence (same things), unless the evidence is self-evident. To do otherwise is to separate oneself from the objective reality which defines life and saves people from satan's pit.

It is not a question of being right; it is a question of moving in the right direction through proper procedures in handling reality. The right procedures will move realities in the right direction for producing truth, which means alignment upon the objective realities which define life.

This is not saying that everything must be turned into a philosophical quagmire. It is saying show or explain the evidence. Consider global warming as an example. Never in the public domain does anyone describe the evidence. The small amount of explaining is always a fraud. A reporter will show ice melting and say the only possible cause is humans. That's fraud. All evidence shows that humans are not the cause, but no one ever requires evidence. What people should be doing is saying that anyone who would make a claim without explanations is pulling something off, and the truth is invariably the opposite. People who produce truth always explain the evidence.
