Reality-by-proximity is the basis of evil. It's used for ridicule and fraud. The way ridicule works is to describe something which everyone can recognize as a corruption and then associate it with someone's name. Swindlers do much the same thing. They associate a product with something recognizable, maybe even a brand name, and only after you pay for it do you find that that is not what it is.

The opposite is truth. People have a lot of misconceptions about truth. They often wonder why someone else's version of truth should prevail instead of their's. This is why material life was needed. It creates a version of truth which is not anybodies; it creates the molecular version of truth.

To some persons, that might even be worse. Why waste truth on molecules instead of using it for a more important purpose? This is one of the reasons why there is no serious concern about such frauds as relativity, prions, global warming, energy misdefined and most of science. If scientists need to lie to bring us all of these goodies, then let them do it their way.

And this is why material life needs to exist. While people are being pacified with cell phones and play stations, the rest of the goodies are crawling up in the dark as bird flu, Mad Cow, derivatives, WW-III and an ice age.

Christ said truth is the answer, because truth will free people from sin (John 8:32, 34); and therefore, his entire purpose in appearing was to testify to the truth (John 18:37). But without matter, truth is not possible.

Before material life began, spirit cannibals took over the universe. They acquire power rivaling God's by stealing spirit substance from the minds of other persons. When the stolen substance combines with their own spirit substance, it creates heterogeneous spirit substance. Heterogeneous spirit substance is the basis of all higher spiritual states. Spirit cannibals can keep stealing more and more spirit substance until they acquire any amount of power. It's worse than nuclear weapons falling into the hands of the most deranged psychopaths.

Truth solves that problem. The only thing evil persons cannot subdue is truth. You might think that if evil persons don't care about babies dying in the gutters, they couldn't care less about something so abstract as truth. But the opposite is true. No one is more sensitized to truth than evil persons.

To understand this, you have to realize that evil persons need a relationship to other persons. Not only is there a psychological need, but all complex power is dependent upon the ability to influence people. Satan and his evil minions control people, and they are terribly afraid of rebellion. For this reason, truth is their worse fear.

It's quite noticeable that evil persons spend most of their time contriving false realities as propaganda, scandal, ridicule and fraud. Truth reverses all of their work. But without material life, there is no truth. This means all of satan's lies are supposedly fact.

Imagine what existence would have been in the spirit world before material life was created. Satan would have been promoting his bigotry by claiming the powerless victims in his pit were the cause of everyone's problems. There would have been no truth or evidence to say otherwise. It would have been a fact of the universe; about like the "worthless eaters" and "dogs," who the Nazis shot in a pit for the good of mankind. There would not have been any social critics or police force to do anything about it without material life.
