Why Morality is not Optional

Fundamentalists say Christ's teachings are optional, because the saving was done on the cross. They don't quite view Christ's teaching as pertaining to morality, because they restrict their view of morality to a few rationalistic subjects like abortions and homosexuality. Feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, etc. are supposedly nice things to do but not relevant to getting saved.

The reason why they are wrong is because Christ said so. He said that getting saved requires feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, healing the sick, etc. (Mat 25:31-46). Everything he taught about human responsibilities make up the subject of morality. Fundamentalists get a different impression from Paul because Paul was a fraud, not because Christ was teaching irrelevancies.

The purpose here is to explain the meaning and consequences of the erroneous assumption that Christ taught optional behavior. Everything people do, say, think and believe has consequences—not just effects upon someone else, but effects upon oneself.

Life is a jungle of realities. Which way do you turn in a jungle? Christ taught direction in life. He taught the difference between the types of choices which lead to eternal life and those which lead to death in hell.

Why then does not-feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, healing the sick, etc lead to hell? If it were simply the effect upon the victims of injustice, that would be enough. But that's not the worst effect. Victims can forgive, but it's very difficult to undo the effects one has upon his own mind and soul.

All choices lead in a direction. Helping victims of injustice leads to life. Not helping victims of injustice leads to death. It's like getting on a train that goes somewhere. To perpetrate one injustice leads to all injustices. To not produce justice is the same as producing injustice, because all behavior and responsibilities are entwined with other behavior and responsibilities.

All corruptions are interrelated, depending upon each other; and all elements of morality are interrelated, depending upon each other. Perpetrators of injustice must deny, conceal and rationalize their corruption to prevent others from finding out that they destroy life and are a threat to everyone. They cut themselves off from life by going down the paths of destructivity, where sustaining life demands responsibilities which are difficult to meet.

Examples are needed to clarify the complexities of morality, which is why Christ demonstrated the truth in his own life and used parables as examples. To clarify the significance of morality, the fraud of modern corruptions demonstrates the truth. Historically, Nazism would be one of the most informative examples. More relevant to the modern society is a major social fraud that is moving in the direction of perversion which could be more destructive of life than Nazism was, which is the subject of global warming. Frauds are calling for a total redesign of the social order to remove carbon dioxide from the air, which humans have no ability to do. The motive is to promote population control by shoving the lower classes out of the economy. Population control doesn't mean birth control; it means starvation, disease, oppression and wars—in part because atheists want to reduce the human population to one tenth its present level, which requires drastic measures, but more basically because population control is really a front for the subconscious need to perpetrate injustices, because that's what sin does to minds.

Global warming is not just an imposition upon society by satan and corrupters similar to him; it is an all-encompassing fraud which sweeps up nearly everyone, as Nazism did in Germany. Such frauds sweep up persons who assume they are getting saved, because sin puts their minds under the control of corruption.

People have a responsibility to find out the meaning and consequences of what they do. When fraud is being promoted, people have a responsibility to find out if it is truth or at least not promote it until they do. With global warming, a whole society is in a mad rush to redesign the social order on the basis of fraud. A few scientists tried to tell people that carbon dioxide does not create global warming, but they were silenced by frauds.

Fraud is not a question of who's right; it's a question of procedures. Rational, constructive and moral procedures allow truth to be produced, where fraud does not.

I describe the science and related frauds of global warming on my science web site.
