The Evelyn Walker Phenomenon

To understand what is happening to women, you need to be aware of the Evelyn Walker phenomenon. Her fateful experience was written up in the book titled "A Killing Cure," 1986, by Perry Deane Young.

Evelyn Walker was used and abused by her psychiatrist by making her addicted to him through sex. He wasn't using her directly for sex. In fact, he was witholding sex from her as a method of heightening the anxiety and need for him. He would use sexual stimulations, combined with all sorts of praises and promises, as a method of controlling her. His insincerity was demonstrated by the fact that he did the same thing with several other women.

Under the same circumstances, some women would probably have been able to see through it. So there would have been a degree of naivete on the part of the victims. But the vulnerability was also circumstantial. Under psychiatric conditions, there would have been problems and expectations played upon by the perpetrator.

The victims could not be told that they were being used. The perpetrator was the most important thing in their lives. Evelyn Walker would not consent to a lawsuit, but while she was incapacitated in a mental institution, it was carried out in her name. Her lawyer wrote up the story after a successful trial.

The phenomenon demonstrates how the positive reinforcements of sex combined with the dependency of women can be used to totally take over their minds. You might say that such an experience is not happening to most women. But how many daughters is it happening to? Appaprently, a lot more than is recognized. A very large percent of the girls are victims of sexual abuse by their dads, and the "Evelyn Walker phenomenon" apears to be a standard way of going about it. The victims are often so infatuated with their dads that they consider the result to be good rather than bad. Children are not in a position to be evaluatiing such experiences properly, much like psychiatric patients.
