There is nothing that can be done with power but destroy. Of course, this depends upon how power is defined. The power of concern is that which all corrupters seek and which corrupts them. It is subjective power, which means the ability to subjectively influence. Power could be defined to include objective influences, but that's never what the concern is, and that type of power is diabolically opposed to subjective power.

The contrast adds clarification, so objective power will be described in more detail. To influence through objective reality is to almost disappear as a person and allow objective realities to define the result. Reason develops objective reality, and the resulting knowledge is truth. Truth taps into the power of the universe by making connections to the objective realities which define and shape all life.

Subjective power runs into conflict with the universe, or it is not subjective. Therefore, it is always sin, and it always destroys. To understand this, or to prove it, the contrast with objectivity is the key. If the realities are not determined by the objective universe, then they are in conflict with it. To create a conflict with objective reality is to destroy life, because life is defined and shaped by objective realities.

An analogy would be tip toeing through the tulips. If you step in the wrong place, tulips get destroyed. Or if you drive an automobile with your eyes closed, you run into things. Since objective realities are complex, any influence which is not carefully aligned upon them destroys them. In other words, a subjective influence is destructive simply because it is not objective.

There is a subjective domain which does no harm. Sometimes there are numerous alternatives available, and they can be subjectively selected. Architectural design of a house is an example. But notice how limited an architect is in his options. If he steps out of bounds, something goes afoul.

Power which is sought goes beyond the objective boundaries. Otherwise, there is nothing to seek, because the objective boundaries are predetermined. Therefore, to seek power is a predetermined attempt to destroy some objective realities.

These principles are laws of the universe. They apply as much to God as to satan. God is not someone who gets by with breaking laws of the universe but someone who refuses to break laws of the universe.

Subjective Power creates a conflict with the universe. Therefore, it turns morality upside down. It turns sin into virtue and virtue into sin. This is because all elements of sin are interrelated, and they are all needed to support the conflict with the universe.

The whole subject of sin cannot be reviewed here, but a few points will be mentioned to show how the forces develop. To conceal the conflict with the universe (objective reality), nihilism is needed. This means denying and concealing the conflict and lying to oneself about it. Fraud is needed to promote the motives in conflict with truth and justice. A war against truth and knowledge results. Anyone who demands truth, knowledge or justice becomes an enemy, which includes all victims of justice, who are the most vulnerable and powerless persons. A war against the lower classes results.

It all occurs because power feels good to weak minded persons who can't see beyond what feels good and evaluate right-from-wrong in more objective terms. Power becomes virtue, and powerlessness becomes sin, which is the attitude of bigotry.

Since power feels good to such persons, it becomes the positive reinforcement for the psychological conditioning of sin. Anything which is repeated often becomes a habit. Any habit which is not under control of awareness functions on a stimulus-response basis. All stimulus-response reactions are strengthened by positive reinforcements.

Increased awareness breaks down stimulus-response reactions. But the nihilism of corruption diminishes the development of abstract awareness. Since knowledge is a threat to corruption, corrupt persons learn to function mindlessly and not seek knowledge.

This very large subject is described throughout this web site. It all begins with the stupid assumption that seeking subjective power is the thing to do. Christ clearly described the problem and what to do about it. But destroyers crucified him and replaced the truth with a mockery which Paul produced. Paul's theology is used to rationalize the sin instead of overcome it.
