Sacrificing to God

The followers of Paul (Fundamentalists, Evangelicals) assume that sacrificing to God is part of Christianity, even if it is not the same as sacrificing to the demons, because Paul based his theology on sacrifice.

First, Christ said, "It is mercy God wants, not sacrifice" (Mat 9:13, 12:7). What is it about not that they do not understand?

Sacrifice is not constructive. The basis of sacrifice is domination and jealousy. The consequences of sacrifice are not good for anyone—not good for God or man.

Satan is the model for corruption. We can see what corruption is through other spirit cannibals similar to him who he controls. Satan's personality often shows through in the persons who he controls.

One of the most visible characteristics of satan and crew is an obsession with the way other people live. What they absolutely hate in other persons is any sign of life or constructivity, because the betterment of others is felt as a threat to such corrupters. This is the definition of jealousy—feeling threat from the betterment of others.

Closely related (All elements of sin stem from the same force in the mind.) is the overwhelming need to control others and force them into alignment upon their own motives. This is the essence of domination—the need to prevail against others.

To act upon their obsession, evil persons might just knock their victims around, maybe destroy them, maybe murder them. But one of the more indirect things they do is force their victims to sacrifice.

This is why the religion of the demons was based on sacrifice. Their religion of sacrifice existed for thousands of years before God got into the religion business. It isn't that God was asleep at the switch; it's that corrupters push their way into everything, while rationality requires a much more measured response. People had to learn a lot of lessons from life before a constructive religion could be developed. In fact, a degree of social order was necessary before a constructive religion could be taught.

Evil persons want others to sacrifice as a method of degrading and controlling them, as the demons demonstrated in forcing people to sacrifice their children on an altar to make their corn grow.

Another example is corrupters beating slaves into submission to get every last drop of work out of them. More constructive persons would treat slaves more humanely, if they felt slavery was a necessary part of their culture.

Where in this do you find a good version of sacrifice? There is none. If sacrifice means giving up something, giving up something means less constructivity. Sacrifice does not mean giving up a corruption or vice. It means giving up something necessary.

God does not go down that path. If he did, Christ would have told us; he didn't need Paul to teach people theology.

Everything Christ taught was the opposite of sacrifice. He said his burden is light (Mat 11:28-30).
