The Significance of Basic Truth The important thing about basic truth is that it establishes principles of right and wrong, which is morality. If truth is superficial, it does not speak to morally. For example, arithmetic does not have much moral significance. Whether rights are self-evident and inalienable has much moral significance. The most basic point in philosophy is the definition of reality. Reality is the configuration of any substance, material or spiritual, which includes objects and thoughts. There is a moral significance to the definition of reality, because it describes life (Life is ordered complexity or unified reality), and morality is that which sustains life. In other words, all basic realities acquire a moral significance. It is for this reason that there is a major opposing force to all basic reality. Moral truth exposes sin, while all sin must be concealed or rationalized. Even if the subject appears innocuous, like the definition of reality, there is a set of conditioned reactions against any truth which is so profound. Basic reality should integrate into superficial reality in a seamless way. The reason why it does not is that corruption in subconscious minds (which varies from person to person) includes reactions against moral truth. Those reactions are not understood; they function on a stimulus-response basis. This means corruption causes basic truth to feel objectionable, but the reasons are not understood. People learn to rationalize their subconscious corruptions by using terminology which justifies themselves. A person who describes basic truth will be said to be nonintelligent, if not a trouble maker. Christ was crucified for producing moral truth. This reaction is not limited to moral philosophers antagonizing corrupters; it is the reason why vulnerable persons are destroyed so self-righteously. Here's the chain of reactions: Sin falls primarily upon the most vulnerable persons. Sin is like weather. Not only is there a lot of it around, but evil persons like satan have to do so much sinning all the time to convince themselves that they are winning their wars and making sin pay. So a lot sin gets directed at vulnerable persons. The victims react by opposing the sin, which includes some truth about it. That truth conflicts with the forces of corruption in subconscious minds. The reaction is for the perpetrators to justify themselves and attack the source of the truth as being the cause of a problem. Perpetrators of corruption assume problems begin with the reaction by the victims instead of their own corruptions. They also associate moral truth, including basic reality, as an attack upon themselves. Being self-righteous, they will assume they promote truth, while they consider basic truth to be a threat and corruption. These reactions prevent social standards from improving. To improve standards requires truth and knowledge about right and wrong. Anyone who describes the subject is attacked and hated, as Christ was. For this reason, society cannot be educated out of its problems. The most significant solution to corruption is repentance. It puts a person on a path of overcoming sin in his own mind. It is also possible to subdue corruption through the power of truth. Truth is not something that is taken up with corrupt persons directly. Instead, it has to be developed by persons who accept truth, because they are less corrupt. As truth is developed, it spreads easilyalmost automaticallybecause it is an extension of the universe. Truth spreads, because it has consistent relationships to all unified realities which create life. This description of basic truth can only be a broad overview. It touches upon so many points that the details can only be developed in other places. |
